Hi All!! Well that's a darned good question!! Some days I wonder who I am myself! But, we finally meet face to face. Don't know if that's a good thing on your side of this computer or not!
Here are some extra pics of the family too.First is my hubby and son. Oh sure...they really support my business!! When I asked them to pose with a couple of my dolls here's what they came up with! A butcher knife to a dolls head and the other one is being held up like a dead plucked chicken! Never a dull moment at our house!
Let me tell ya a tad about myself because if you are a woman, you HAVE to know details. Here's the scoop- I'm 54 years old..ohhhh well thank you for saying I don't look that old!!! The hubby Dave, is only 49 but I raised him up as my own. We have one son, Grant, who will be 15 in March 2005 and I call him "My Precious Angel From Heaven" but since he turned 13, I call him "Demon Seed"...cause those ole teenage hormones are driving his poor mother up a wall. How can he be a timid little adorable passive 3 year old boy one day and the next day have a mustache, baritone voice, hairy legs and size 11 shoes and eating me out of my house and home with an attitude?
I know you have read this probably on every website you've visited, but I REALLY have been sewing since I was 5 years old. Honest! Mom, Dad, Monika, my sis, and I came over on "the boat" from Germany when I was five with one crate that contained all our worldly belongings. America truly is the land of opportunity. We were very poor but mom always seemed to find some fabric on sale to make us dresses with hand smocking on the top..remember that? When I fell in love with primitive dolls, I knew I had to learn the primitive way of sewing.
All my dolls are original design unless otherwise stated. I do use patterns occasionly and I give credit where credit is due for the design. I believe in promoting quality merchandise beyond my own enterprise.
I must take a minute here to acknowledge a couple of people. It's very rare in life to find two people whom a person can call "friend". I feel so blessed, privileged and honored to have gotten to know my two darling friends - Nicole Ellison of raggedyoldannies.com and Barb Tutak of clickyourheels.org.Hi honeys....hope you are reading this!! Check out both of their websites for fabulous original design raggedies and prim dolls. There are many many other artists names I would love to list here but there just isn't room but you all know who ya are!
I also want to say a huge "THANK YOU" to all the people who have bought my "stuff" over the last several years and have supported my business and have encouraged me with delightful e-mails. You all bless my socks off everyday!! God has been so incredibly good to me and I surely know that with God, ALL things are possible.
