African Crafts For Kids

Does anyone know any African games or activities for kids aged 5-12?

Our school is having a World-themed event where each classroom is going to be a country, and ours is Africa. The kids are going to rotate between the classrooms. So we need to find activities, games, crafts and/or foods that are authentic to Africa.

We'd prefer to keep it simple and not too expensive, but I would appreciate any help or ideas any of you can give! Thank you.

Also, I got some interesting authentic recipes from allrecipes.com. I will probably make either Malvapoeding (pudding-ish), Shuku Shuku (cookie-ish), or Sambusa (like a potsticker).

u know africa is a really big place hun.keep in mind its a continent not a country and were all very different. u guys might want to just focus on a particular country because there are soo many different things done in each african country on its own!!!.
anyway im from botswana, a country in southern africa so i guess thats what i can help u with.wen i was younger we played a form of tag......one choosen kid would go around chasing everyone and tag them.whoever got tagged would have to stand still with their legs apart. anyone who had not been tagged would have to save everyone else who had been caught, by crawling under thier legs!!and the game would go on till everyone was caught.
in terms of food u could make a dish called pap, its just plain ol cornmeal, but t looks like mashed potatoes, real easy!email me for more info if u want it.
