I need help planning my daughter's birthday party?

My daughter is turning 2 in a couple months and my husband and I are throwing her a birthday party. I've never thrown or planned a party in my life, so I have no idea what I'm doing

My daughter loves lady bugs, so we've decided on a lady bug theme with her dressed up in this adorable little ladybug costume. There will be a BBQ and things for the adults to do, but I can't think of any activities for the kids to do. I had this idea of setting up an Arts And Crafts Table, but I'm drawing a blank on other things for them to do. I wanna have a nicely organized party. I wanna keep the kids busy so there's as little chaos as possible Help me! I don't know what I'm doing!

LOL. Party planning can be stressful. I recommend arts and crafts such as Faery Wand making (sticks with glitter, string, feathers, et cetera), Popsicle Stick Crafts, fingerpaints, et cetera. If you are having a variety of ages of children showing up, make sure you separate the age appropriate crafts so the little tykes are safe. Also, try and find some great kids movies that you can play. Kids love movies. Perhaps a few board games for the older kids and some toys for the younger kids would be good. Since you are barbecuing, buy some of those big rubber bounce balls from Walmart to let the kids play outside. The dollar store has really inexpensive water guns for the kids too. And don't forget to buy party favors for the young ones...pencils, stickers, candy (though trail mix would be healthier), and fun little toys are always a blast. Hope that helps! Cheers!
