Do you think pupils need art and crafts to Improve brainpower?

I'm a university student and am researching into peoples thoughts about art and design and came across an article saying that students need art and crafts to improve brainpower, do you think this is true?

Absolutely. Many studies have shown that students who actively participate in their school's art, dance, or music programs have better concentration, are more creative, and are more confident in and out of school. These subjects provide a unique stimulation that helps in problem-solving, creativity, and overall brain development, and their performance in other classes improves as well, including math and science. It also lets them connect with other students who share their own interests, and helps them decide what job or career they may want to work towards later in life.
