What time is before the war?

That war - World War I right? you just bought an apartment before the war. I would like decorate to suit the time of its construction, it is difficult to know what style is. It has lots of mold in the rooms pleasant architctual lving and restaurants. The kitchen has a beautiful mosaic floor of black and white (not just linoleum). any advice? Pottery Barn couch and have a chair in sage green we are having but otherwise I'm open to suggestions. I like arts and crafts things, but not as much of it, too geometric. art nouveau gets too psychadelic looking for - I think I'm leaning more towards the largest pre-war style of the Victorian era ..? Please send any ideas you have for any room ... as what type of coffee rugs, table, lighting, etc.

You are correct - is the subject World War II .... Why not just spend a space for that time instead of the entire house. A good place to get ideas would be to rent some old movies - pay attention to the decor. Mission Furniture work as well as sofas and chairs.
