Art in the Gamble House ...

The Gamble House in Pasadena is an outstanding example of American architecture style of art and crafts. The house and furnishings were designed by Charles and Henry Green in 1908 to play David and Mary Procter & Gamble Company. Now the house is declared a National Monument Historian and operated by the University of Southern California.

Originally, the house was built as a winter residence and is a rare piece of American architecture magnificent. Came the influence of traditional Japanese aesthetics as well as the breadth of California. The arts and crafts architecture focused on the use of materials natural attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Gamble House rooms were built by multiple types of wood such as teak, maple, oak and cedar.
