What are some good arts and Crafts Ideas for children 5-12?

I am starting a community program for the children in my complex apartments. Will begin in two weeks. I'm trying to get as many ideas for arts and crafts activities and othe games and activities. If you could give me some ideas and how to do it. Thanks.

My mom makes this fun activity with clay. You could even make your own for more than one activity the same. Anyway, everyone has the same amount of clay and each a different color. Everyone divides his play dough in half and place half in the center the table. Then, using the other half, to sculpt something based on a theme (something that was seen in a garden, something you would see the center, etc.) Establish a time limit (2 minutes is about right) and then when time runs out, without speaking, all left a space. Now they have someone elses sculpture in front of them. Trying to find out what could be and then use the dough in the center, add to it. Do this over and over again until everyone is back in their original places. So what Each person talks about what began to carve and what they have now. It's really fun and a good activity for all ages.
