Chris Craft Barrel Back

Excluding the finished model wooden boat?

I built a model of Chris-Craft Barrel Back cruise the timber was very well, but I do not like the ending. I want you naked and start the finish. I would use lacquer thinner, but will this affect the line? The model is put together with glue. I know that acetone will dissolve super glue, but what happens with lacquer thinner? Or is there something better that does not affect the tail? Thanks for any advice out there!
