How do I clean a vintage doll?
I have a 1963 Pebbles doll that I bought as a gift for my mom. She is a bit musty smelling and dingy from her age. She has a soft body with vinyl limbs and head. What would be the best way to clean the soft body part?
what about the soft cloth (plush?) part?
For vinyl dolls, you are pretty safe with any non-abrasive cleaner, start with something natural like a vinegar mixture, but you can try fantastic or 409, but don't spray it on the doll, spray it on the rag and then wipe. After cleaning plastic or vinyl dolls, rub baby powder into the entire doll (not eyes or hair). Will make them look like new. I hope your mom likes her. Good luck!
