Problems with the greeting card handmade - strain?

I made some cute cards to thank for Christmas gifts, and all I had was some of the children of glue that is purple and then change to light. What used to attach various cuts of paper, a cute little mini-harvest card, etc buttons. Appearances cards' went well, but the card a bit warped, which makes business cards amaturish type. I used cardboard made for cards, craft store, so I'm thinking it was the glue? HELP! What better glue to use?? I want to do more business this year by Valentine, birthday and congratulations / pledge card for my brother. What about stick-on "roll" things that work as "White Out" rollers, it is only a thin layer of glue? Anyone using?

It seems that the glue made the card too wet. I can use the roller to all queues things scrap booking and card making and I think they are fantastic and invisible unless your using them on parchment, but you get parchment specials now. Do not be intimidated. If you go to your local craft store should have a lot of different queues for each type of boat.
