How to make tissue paper flowers?

I just saw a fresh Christmas craft on television. White paper flowers as tree Styrofoam. Using some random white branches in the sides and place a chocolate cake only on the branch here and there. They also wore white flowers in two large bowls on each side of the tree! It would look great on my table, but never made tissue paper flowers.
