Can be considered a broad category that contains origami, and card models, with a model origami paper folding paper (No glue), and a card of models such as the realization of scale models of the leaves of the card in which the parts were printed, usually in full color, one to cut, scores of times, and the tail together. They are usually more popular in Europe and Japan than in America.
Sometimes the models can be drilled, but most often printed parts should be cut with a hobby knife (or a pair of scissors). The edges may be annotated to help bend. The pieces are generally stuck with glue polyvinyl acetate ("white glue", "AVP"). One characteristic of such models is that models are often pre-painted, and not no need to paint the model after completion, although some may improve as-built model for the painting and detail. Due to the nature of working environment, the model can be sealed with varnish to last longer.

Printed card models common magazines in the early part of the 20. The popularity of card models flourished during the Second World War, when the paper was one of the few items whose use and production was not heavily regulated.
Micromodels, designed and published in England from 1941 were very popular with 100 different models, including architecture, ships and aircraft. But as plastic kits became readily available model, the interest in diminished role.

Because of this, there is no practical limit to the variety of available models. Boats, cars, airplanes, spacecraft (both real and fictional), buildings, and animals are common. In recent years, Japanese subjects such as Gundams and anime figures also begin to make an appearance in papercraft.
