All simple ideas for Father's Day design one for young children?

I'm looking for an idea for a ship to do in our group game for Father's Day. The children are between 8 mo. and 3 years. therefore can not be as elaborate. It should also be relatively inexpensive and unique. Note note that most children are under 2 years and have very few fine motor skills!

OK, this is going to sound corny. Why not mix a batch of plaster of paris and poured into plastic plates or Styrofoam. When it is thick enough to maintain a form that children (probably with your help) to place your hands on it. You can "burn" their names on their handprints and let put stickers or silk flowers to measure it when has hardened and dried. Each of the three children made one of these handprints when we were little and I kid not, my mom still has it all. I'm in my 40 years and my little brother will be 40 this year. I do not think my Mom would give little treasures up for a million dollars.
