Stained Glass Craft Supplies

Just wondering if any of u crafters have tried your hand at stained glass? (Not the authenic stained glass)?

Just the kits that u can get at Craft Stores. I was wonderingn if it is something that u could hang in your window after u make it or does it look like something that a first grader would bring home from school.(No offense kiddo's....I love all of you!) Just dont want to waste the money to buy the supplies, if I am not certain.

yes.!!! I Love stained glass and painted glass
i have sold my art to people in 31 states now and i sold one piece to a person in africa.. i lvoe it all..the real stained glass is wonderful but gets very expensive..so i took up with painted glass which looks identical to real stained glass .. and apparently alot of people love it as well as i sell alot!!
its not hard to do at all..
if you choose gallery glass paints..as they call them.. be careful..because i found after a period of time the colors fade..especially the reds... and yes this can be hung just like real stained glass
theres differant types of the paint as they call them...theres the transparent and the smooth or theres the cathedral colorings..
the cathederal ones you can do while the glass is in a door etc..but the others you have to have the glass laying flat..
sweetie this is so easy... you can do it and their beautiful... if after awhile ya dont like the design ya made you can score the picture and use some water to clean off the design
just go to hobby sites and read up on the products... its fun and i also do my own patterns... the Harleys i do are very detailed and alot of intricate parts to the design.. you may not want tos tart with something like that.. the other thing is..make sure you get out the air bubbles..otherwise they show up and ruin the coloring...
