Going swimming without tampons help please...?

So I'm a 15 yer old girl and I got my period over the winter. So thissummer I got a job with my bestfriend and a camp couslor for little kids at this pool near us. The kids are in the age group 3-5 or something so we will be in the little pool that only goes up to about my knees. We won't be in the pool all the time, sometimes we will be doing crafts and games and other stuff like that. I was just wondering if I could wear a pad considering the water won't go past my knees? Im a little worried though because we might have to assist in giving them seining lessons and I don't know if I will have to get up to my waist wet. I'm worried because I don't really want to use a tampon, fr me the idea is just not pleasant lol. Any ideas?

well i know you dont want to but i suggust useing a tampon because i have been a camp consular in past years and the water was not deep at all it was zero entry going to about three feet but what i figured out is the little girls always like to hang on you and they want you to do more than just sit there on the side of the pool.. useing a tampon is not hard at all and once it is in the correct way you cant feel it at all.
I know you dont want to wear tampons but i know so many gfemal camp counsulars that tried tampons for the swimming part of camp and liked them way better that pads
