Where I can find art supplies below wholesale?

I'm trying to find one or below wholesale for a stretched resources large size of the canvas, some paints, and clay for sculpting. Can someone please direct me to a good resource? I can not seem to find anything decent price. Everywhere you look, the shops want obsurd prices. PLEASE! everything is a canvas, stretched canvas treated, nails or staples and wood. Why are stores like Michaels trying to collect $ 80 for a large canvas? It's crazy. Can a fellow painter throw me a bone here? Certainly not all pay these ridiculous prices? You can make your own canvas made from 1x2 and canvas in a paint store. Try DIY.com for tips on how to do it. You can get very expensive painting by looking at the painting section off of the hardware and department lanfils some neighbors. Think outside the box. I am an artist and have rarely had to buy fabric. Anything is canvas: waste wood for example.
