craft ideas for a mom anyone?

My moms birthday is coming up and i want to make something home made for her. I can build things out of wood, crochet, do different types of beading, and latchhook. Any ideas, patterns or comments? I will also take suggestions on different types of crafts. thanks in advance and have a nice day!

Does she have a yard where she could put a birdhouse? I think the idea of making her a wooden birdhouse sounds lovely. They are very easy to paint and weather-seal!

A painted, wooden planter is also very nice. You buy inexpensive plastic and staple it to the inside and then buy inexpensive potting soil and plant small plants or an herb garden in it.

You could crochet a shawl or "nap blanket" for her. Something with her favorite colors. Maybe make new covers for some decorative pillows she may have in the house.

Does she have friends over for tea or coffee? You could crochet / bead a lovely set of coasters for her; I think they look darling and I know her friends would enjoy them too.

I think it's awesome that you are going to make her something; I think those kinds of gifts always mean the most.
